Hi! My name is Allison Doty, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the CapSouth Wealth Management family as an Associate Advisor.
My career with CapSouth began in 2020, right when the world shut down due to the Covid pandemic. Since then, I’ve held various roles within the company, ranging from Portfolio Manager to Client Service Associate. I’ve worked within both the Private Client and 401(k) divisions, leading to my current position as an Associate Advisor. These experiences have significantly expanded my knowledge and provided me with hands-on training in various aspects of the financial industry.
The driving force behind my journey into financial planning was my father’s terminal cancer diagnosis. Despite a natural talent for numbers and a passion for connecting with people, my true calling emerged during his battle. His passing shortly after my graduation highlighted life’s unpredictability. Witnessing how well my parents had planned for the unexpected, and the vital role a financial planner played during this time, solidified my commitment to helping others navigate uncertainties and led me into the wealth management industry.

Originally from Gainesville, GA, I pursued my undergraduate studies in Managerial Finance at the University of Mississippi. After graduating, I relocated to Atlanta, where I currently reside. Traveling and adventure are passions of mine, and I’ve been fortunate enough to visit over 20 countries and counting. I am very family-oriented and spend my fall football seasons in Athens cheering the Dawgs to victory. In my leisure time, I enjoy taking strolls with my Goldendoodle, Louis, along the Atlanta Beltline, exploring new restaurants, and attending live music concerts.
