ANGIE GORDON, CTS™

Angie joined CapSouth in August 2020 as part of the McDonough office, supporting the team with her expertise in accounting, Excel spreadsheets, and data analysis. Angie subsequently transitioned to the role of Financial Planning Associate, supporting all Advisors with advanced tax planning and estate planning through the use of specialized software solutions.

Her passion for learning has fueled Angie to attain her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbus State University, complete coursework towards a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, attain a certificate in Legal Assisting, attain designation as a Certified Personnel Consultant from the National Association of Personnel Services, and complete a Database Analyst Certificate Program from Midlands Technical College. During her career, she was granted Officer title at SunTrust Banks in recognition of her performance, leadership ability, length of service, and potential for growth. Angie thrives on supporting others as they work to achieve the company’s mission. In her 30 years of prior work experience, she has held numerous support positions including Data Entry Specialist, Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, Senior Recruiting Associate, Legal Assistant, Marketing Assistant, Tax Preparer Assistant, Human Resources Assistant, Bookkeeper, Financial Analyst, Office Manager, and Accounting Manager. She has a broad range of experience and a strong ability to identify areas for process improvement, design and develop policies and procedures, evaluate and establish internal controls. She also enjoys data compilation and analyzing data for trends.

Angie resides with her husband in Dothan. She is an avid SEC college football fan (Go Dawgs!), active in her church, previous host of foreign exchange students, and has volunteered a significant amount of time and talents over the years to various non-profit organizations. She loves to travel, camp, hike, boat, read, crochet, craft, make jewelry, go to festivals and craft fairs, visit thrift stores and flea markets, and spend time outdoors.
