Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with individuals to address their most pressing concern: “Am I going to be okay?” I understand the anxieties and uncertainties that come with managing finances, especially when it comes to retirement planning. At CapSouth, I have the privilege of assisting both Personal Wealth clients and 401(k) participants. For our corporate retirement plan clients, I play a crucial role in participant education efforts. One of the highlights of my work is ensuring that participants have access to the information they need to make informed decisions about their retirement savings. I believe that education is key to empowerment, and I strive to make complex financial concepts understandable and actionable for everyone I work with. In addition to my role in participant education, I am available to provide investment counsel on an as-needed basis.
Outside of work, I am committed to staying current with industry trends and developments to better serve my clients. Continuous learning is essential in this field, and I am always seeking new insights and strategies to help my clients achieve their financial goals.
Before joining CapSouth, I spent fourteen rewarding years with BellSouth Telecommunications in Atlanta. During my time there, I honed my skills in leadership and communication, laying the groundwork for my future endeavors.
But my journey extends beyond the corporate realm. I’ve always been driven by a passion for service and community involvement. I had the privilege of starting two North Point Community Church partnership churches, one in Nashville and another in Dothan, AL. Serving as the Service Program Director for both, I witnessed the transformative power of community.
Now, as an Investment Advisor at CapSouth, I bring this rich tapestry of experiences to my work every day. I understand the value of hard work, community, and pursuing one’s passions. In essence, my life’s journey has been guided by a commitment to service, family, and personal growth. By blending my professional expertise with my personal values, I strive to empower others to achieve their financial goals and live life to the fullest.
And if you’re wondering about my extracurricular activities, well, let’s just say I’ve had some interesting experiences. Back in college, I may or may not have been a cheerleader – hey, everyone needs a little pep sometimes! And in the ’90s, I channeled my musical talents into singing and playing guitar in a Christian rock band. It was a formative period filled with passion and creativity.
On a personal note, I’m blessed to share my life with my college sweetheart, Mary Lisa McCarthy, and our four wonderful children: Nicholas, William, Callahan, and Charles Henry. They are my greatest source of inspiration and motivation.
