I leverage over 35 years of experience as a CPA and over a decade as a Wealth Advisor to provide specialized retirement income solutions and tax planning services to CapSouth clients. As the Director of CapSouth’s Advanced Planning team, I help clients plan for key milestones, such as the timing of Social Security benefits, work to reduce taxation of retirement income, and enable clients to understand their estate planning needs. I also enjoy working on trust accounts, tailoring each to meet the unique needs of our clients.
I joined CapSouth Wealth Management in 2011, drawn by a company and leadership team that shared my retirement planning philosophies and principles. Before my tenure at CapSouth, I founded and led Robinson, Whaley Hammonds & Allison, PC, (RWH&A) in McDonough, Georgia. Under my leadership, RWH&A grew to become the largest CPA firm in the area, employing over twenty professionals and support staff. My specialties at RWH&A included tax planning, personal financial planning, business planning, and estate planning for individuals and small- to medium-sized businesses across various industries.
I hold a degree from Georgia State University and am a proud member of Beta Alpha Psi. My CPA career began in Atlanta, where I worked with both regional and national firms. I also served as Chief Financial Officer for a publicly held company before joining a local CPA firm in Griffin, GA, as a partner and principal.
Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in a range of community and non-profit organizations, serving in senior leadership and board positions and receiving numerous awards for my contributions. I served for fifteen years as the Treasurer of McDonough Presbyterian Church.
I am an avid technology enthusiast and widely recognized as an early adopter of emerging technology systems and solutions. Another joy in my life is our Havanese puppy, Lewie, named by my wife, Pat. We live in McDonough, GA, and are blessed with four adult children and four grandchildren.
