Hi, I’m Peter Ramsey, and what truly energizes me about my work at CapSouth is the opportunity to make a real difference in our clients’ lives. Every day, I’m able to apply my expertise to help individuals and families navigate the complexities of investment management, while helping guide them toward financial security and success. It’s incredibly rewarding to build trust with our clients and deliver results that exceed their expectations. Whether it’s helping a family plan for their children’s future or supporting retirees in enjoying their well-earned retirement, being part of their journey is what keeps me motivated.
I joined CapSouth in November 2021, following a role as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, but my journey in finance started much earlier. I discovered my passion for business and finance while earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from Delta State University in 2002. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to continuous learning and growth. To deepen and develop my leadership skills, I earned a Master of Science in Management from Troy University’s Sorrell College of Business in 2018.
More recently in 2024, I achieved another milestone by earning the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation. This accomplishment reflects my commitment to excellence and my dedication to providing top-notch service to our clients. Crafting customized portfolios, guiding clients through their financial goals, and building meaningful connections—that’s what drives me in my work. Helping others achieve their dreams and witnessing the positive impact on their lives is truly fulfilling.
Outside of work, family time is where I find my balance. My wife, Ashley, and I love spending time with our two children, Clark and Cecilia. Whether we’re lounging by the pool, cheering on our son at his sports games, or keeping active with exercise routines, these moments strengthen our relationships and help recharge me for what lies ahead. We’ve made a comfortable home for ourselves in Dothan, AL, though my roots are in Hollandale, MS.
In my downtime, you’ll often find me immersed in a good book or exploring new perspectives and ideas in the industry. And when it comes to sports, whether basketball, football, or any other sport, I’m passionate about my teams, and the excitement of competition is something I truly enjoy.
