RENA MILLER

Rena Miller joined the CapSouth team in 2020 as an Administrative Assistant. Though new to the wealth management industry, Rena brings over 20+ years of experience in the business and education arena. Rena earned a bachelor’s in Business Management from Troy University. She also has a certification in Elementary Education and Master of Education Administration degree from Tarleton State University in Texas.

During her career she has taught school and has 20+ years’ experience as a Director of Child Development centers in Germany and in the states.  She has also worked as a Program Specialist with Child and Youth Services overseas. During her time working with the United States government, she managed budgets, supervised, and trained staff as well as implemented and maintained regulations and policies. She was awarded the Department of the Army Achievement medal while stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas for her duty and service to the military families of The Big Red One.

She moved to Dothan in June 2011 when her husband of 30 years, Charles, a CWO5 Army Veteran, was stationed at Fort Rucker. Charles is currently a GS-13 instructor pilot with the Department of Defense.

Rena and Charles have one daughter, Hannah (21). They also have 2 dogs, Maui and Archie, as well as two cats, Gracie, and Reggie. They have recently purchased a camper and look forward to hiking the Appalachian trails and enjoying many other adventures.
